Welcome to the website of the Regional Archive, the digital access to the past of Voorne-Putten and Rozenburg. The paper legacy of this region is carefully stored in a depot in Brielle and made accessible to everyone. The special vault area contains four linear kilometres of historical documents, some of which are up to 750 years old, and which paint a picture of just about every aspect of life on the islands in earlier times.

The Regional Archive is a communal arrangement and as such forms the depot for the archives of the municipalities of Bernisse, Brielle, Hellevoetsluis, Rozenburg, Spijkenisse and Westvoorne and the water board archives of this region. In addition, the Regional Archive administers numerous private archives, such as those of religious denominations, companies, clubs and families. Furthermore, there is an extensive collection of photographs and documentation present, making the Regional Archive the obvious place for everyone with questions about the local history
